MODULOPOLI is a project conceived by artist Federico Marcoaldi, who has chosen to depict his idea of a modular metropolis by involving 100 artists and 100 schoolchildren in a collective effort.

The urban conglomerate is reimagined as a union of different modules that create a collective whole.

Each module is a unique piece, and in its uniqueness as a palace, block, or neighborhood, it finds its place in a puzzle that becomes a harmonious entity in its heterogeneity.

The modules are created by Marcoaldi using recycled materials (cardboard boxes destined for the landfill) and entrusted to artists and children during educational workshops to create a metropolitan city that is the result of collaboration and collective creation.
